Riga: Board meeting of BAAC, March 2014

The Board of BAAC had its first meeting of 2014 on March 6, in the city of Riga, Latvia. A nice city to be recommended for you all to visit. The venue for the meeting was the former U.S Embassy in Riga, where the Occupation Museum now resides. The Occupation Museum has been moved to the former site of the U.S. Embassy because the museum is being rebuilt and renovated.

The main topic for the meeting was the work for the conference in Riga in September 17- 19. The venue for the conference is the new National Library of Latvia located in Riga. We paid the library a visit even if the library is not yet finished. If you stay in the old city of Riga you may walk to the library, as it is just opposite the old town on the other side of the river. The title of the conference is: Safe and Reusable: Ideals versus real life. Welcome to the city of Riga, Latvia.
